Saijad
Thought for the day: The man who rows the boat doesn't have time to rock it.
Background
Saijad IV (commonly referred to as just Saijad) is, technically, not a forge world, and by tithe status is a Imperial industrial world. However, given the Sveslor Subsector's lack of other major Mechanicus presence, Saijad has become the de-facto Mechanicus world.
Therefore, although technically ruled over by the Administratum and the planetary Governor, Saijad's normal running - and in particular its massive ore-processing factoriums - is managed by the Mechanicus. The planetary Governor only controls over the small parts of the planet which have not been turned over to Mechanicus facilities.
This relationship between the Mechanicus and the Administratum is mostly amicable. Both sides stay out of each other's business, provided that the Mechanicus "listens" to the Administratum and the Administratum does not "impose" on the Mechanicus. Needless to say, there have been times in the past when this relationship has turned sour, to the extent that in 436M40 the Mechanicus Skitarii and the Adeptus Arbites almost came to blows over a routine customs inspection of a Mechanicus bulk transport which just happened to be carrying the then Arch Magos of Saijad, Lord Arch Magos Tramor.
Notable Features
Saijad's surface, naturally a dull brown dust which quickly soaks up the seasonal torrential acid rains, is mostly turned over to the Mechanicus ore processing, smelters, and a few factories which produce equipment for the various organisations of the Sveslor Subsector.
The only area not turned over to the Mechanicus is the old capital city of Lionus Fall, on the equator of Saijad. This crumbling city now is the residence of the Governor and the Administratum presence on Saijad, as well as the only non-Mechanicus starport on the planet.
The primary Adeptus Mechanicus shrine on the planet neighbours Lionus Fall, and is a single monolithic structure constructed of black marble, steel, and gold. The shrine towers over both the sea of manufactoriums as well as the capital, as if to remind everyone that the Mechanicus is the true ruler of the planet.
