Thought For the Day: Ruthlessness is the kindness of the wise.

Lord Inquisitor Trantor, what follows is an update of the progress of your Unremitting Cell of Acolytes in their mission to solve the Sveslor Subsector Crisis.

The cell arrived on Saijad along with Task Force Deliverance on 576 815 M41. Warp travel in the Sveslor Subsector is fast to the point of absurdity. The task force commander tells us that his navigators believe it is due to the malign entities of the warp taking an interest in this region. I shudder to think of it.

The task force found the remains of IN Vigilanis drifting out of the system. The ship had been hit hard and no survivors were detected. The fleet was mildly inconvenienced by the remnants of Saijad's orbital defence network but was able to commence planet-fall operations almost immediately. Our cell dropped onto Saijad with the second wave of Skittari and made haste to the main Adeptus Mechanicus shrine.

As the loyal skittari battled their secessionist brothers, the cell made its way to the top of the tower to seek out the Arch-Magos responsible for this planet's heresy. As described by the Calimacrux Cell, the leadership of this shrine wore white robes as opposed to the traditional red. Arch-Magos Novus refused to submit himself to the emperor's inquisition and was slain for his crimes.

Novus' second in command, Magos Seghari (mentioned in the previous cell's reports), surrendered to us and was questioned before being left in the hands of Adeptus Mechanicus aboard the AM Blackstorm. The log of this interview is attached as Document ϱ141 - Interview: Magos Seghari. According to Magos Seghari, the secession occurred much as was reported. Security footage, that showed signs of being doctored, shows the Administratum team attacking their Mechanicus hosts before they were killed by the skittari.

Leaving the skittari to mop up the remaining opposition, the cell traveled to Lionus Fall in order to arrest Governor Raltus for crimes against the Imperium. The Governor resisted and was confined aboard the IN Legend of Pyrane. A transcript of his interrogation is also attached as Document ϰ43 - Interrogation: Sir Raltus. He revealed that he had sent the hand-picked Administratum team in order to stir up trouble. Working with Arch-Magos Novus, he was attempting to set up a situation where the planet could fall into open rebellion against the Imperium.

Sir Raltus then revealed that he served the dark powers and furnished us with a list of those who conspired with him. According to him, his immediate superior in his heresy was the "voices in my head". Raltus was unable to provide us with the names of any off world contacts but he admitted there were more like him elsewhere. When questioned about the warp breach, he claimed that the dark power had given both him and his compatriots 'gifts'.

As you are probably aware, this is most troubling and indicates a widespread net of heresy that has been cast over this sub-sector. Our next task is to take in the leader of the local Adeptus Arbites who was implicated by Sir Raltus. The other names Raltus gave have been given to the occupation forces for immediate execution.
