Thought for the day: Honor is paid in Blood of the Traitors. Purity is proved by the Marks of Battle. Faith is held by Destruction of the Unholy.

Background

Sveslor was the first system in the Sveslor Subsector to be conquered and settled during the Angevin Crusade in M39. Originally a thriving hub of trade and visitors into and out of the subsector, as the Sveslor Subsector's fortunes waned so did its capital. Gone are the glory days of a thriving, bustling capital city, now only the ruins of millenia gone past remain.

Notable Features

The main city of Sveslor, unimaginatively also named Sveslor (which causes some confusion when the city, the planet, the system, and the subsector are referred to within the same sentence without identifying qualifiers), is built around the three main buildings of the starport, the Administratum Subsector Headquarters, and the Governor's Spire. Surrounding these three expansive buildings is the upper-class zone which includes businesses and residential accomodation for nobles and wealthy merchants.

The third ring of Sveslor (the city) is the middle-class zone, where the majority of the populace resides and where much of the trade occurs. Lastly, and furthest away from the wealthy areas, are the slums - patchwork and rebuilt buildings housing those too poor to live anywhere else.

The city is relatively small, and is easily walkable by a fit individual with a couple of hours spare. Groundcars and heavy loaders are used for transport in the city streets.

Across the rest of the planet's surface are dotted numerous small settlements, mostly based around farming. Sveslor (the planet) is broadly self-sufficient in basic commodities.

Most notably, Sveslor (the system) is the nexus of the main warp route into and out of the subsector, and is the reason why the subsector capital was located here.
