Day 5

  • The prisoner was found not to have a pass however he did have half of Tobel's Romance Novel.
  • Ajar's house was investigated and nothing suspicious is found.
  • The party then questioned the prisoner.
  • The prisoner's name is Kimral and he is from the same clan as Worl.
  • He entered the town via the river route and thus has no pass.
  • It turns out this route is widely known.
  • Worl wanted Kimral's help but wouldn't say why. Worl died before they had a chance to meet.
  • Without anything to do, he accepted the job from the cloaked figure in the Eternal Flame.
  • Knows of Ajar and decided to use his house as a hideout because Ajar was out of town.
  • Kimral came for us in the Inn because an elven woman told him the gem was hidden there.
  • Holy Crap! Aome is going to take the gem! (We really should have seen this coming)
  • The gem forms part of a story which is very quickly read to us though we can only remember snatches.
  • Before Kimral can be questioned further, he bursts into flames. WTF!?!
  • The party leaves the burning body in the capable hands of the priests and rushes back to the Jackrabbit in order to catch Aome before she escapes.
  • Aome left the Jackrabbit half an hour ago in the direction of the merchant's quarter.
  • We trace her to the Merchants' Jettys, Ironhedge Bridge outside town.
  • Culain has a fanclub!
  • Aome is tracked to a passenger compartment on Ferrod's ship.
  • Aome attempts to escape but is captured almost immediately.
  • The gem is retrieved along with a trashy romance novel and a scrap of The Story.
  • Aome is taken to the keep to be imprisoned.
  • The party sees Sir Reldler and brings him up to date.
  • The Story comes from the north but Culain is unable to properly remember it.
  • There are reports of trouble in the north and a food shipment is late.
  • The party decides to go north to investigate.

Day 6 - 11

Day 11

  • Party reaches Pondcrest and is confronted by a ruin.
  • The village has been burnt to the ground and the villagers slaughtered.
  • All the village's crops have been stolen which indicates an invasion rather than a raid.
  • The guards turn back to inform Ironhedge Bridge.
  • The party stays in the ruins overnight while looking for signs of the enemy army.
  • Cooking fires are spotted to the east.

Day 12

  • The party catches up to a large group of soldiers from Norwynn who are carrying away the crops from the latest raid.
  • We bluff our way through and move on toward the main enemy camp.
  • The enemy camp seems to house roughly 10,000 men.
  • The party decides to kidnap a sentry that night and find out what is going on.
  • The best target for abduction turns out to be a priest.
  • The abduction is spotted and the party runs away with an unconscious priest of Bane.
  • Sentries give chase.
