Day 12
- The party managed to escape most of their pursuers.
- Heading toward a ruined village to hide they cam across a glowing phenomenon.
- Leris appeared from within the circle of light.
- Leris was looking for the Mysterious Mist.
- Leris then set up a portal through which we could return to Ironhedge Bridge.
- As Leris set up the portal two trackers and their hounds appeared on the scene.
- A brief skirmish ensued with the party retreating through the portal as soon as it opened.
- The party was deposited outside the teleportation circle in Ironhedge Bridge.
- A multi-elemental attempted to manifest itself in the real world.
- It told the party that the item we have is the only hope and the key to something.
- The elemental plane is at stake as well as our own world.
- The item can be used to hold something very strong, something from another plane.
- The elemental is cryptic and generally unhelpful.
- On entry to the keep, the party is informed that Aome disappeared, literally.
- Aome left a pair of gloves for Tharo and a note with more cryptic annoyances.
- Sir Reldler is informed of our findings.
- Profanity ensues.
- Reldner sets plans in motion to prepare for the siege.
- In local news, the merchant guards have disappeared from inside the town walls and are instead guarding the jetties outside the town.
- The captured enemy cleric was then interrogated, see the Interrogation Notes.
- The enemy forces will make it to the city in two weeks with the vanguard arriving in a week. (Invasion of Ostvale)
- The teleportation circle will not connect to other towns in Ostvale as if the circles on the other end are engaged.
- A rider is then sent to summon aid.
- The party split up to go about their business.
- Harold found Ajar in the Eternal Flame,
- Ajar doesn't seem to know anything about the gem.
- Ajar knows The Story and a transcript was created.
- During the night, an unnatural storm develops.
- Torrential rain is washing away the foundations of the walls.
- Shadows Bridge collapses into the river.
- The wizards attempted to nullify the magic driving the storm but their tower was badly damaged due to magical feedback.
- The tower retreated into a pocket dimension so protect itself from further harm.
- The creator of the storm is somewhere under the storm and probably in town somewhere.
- Investigation shows a dwarf left the city heading north about an hour before the storm started, suspicious!
- On a hunch, the party decide to check on Ajar's house which seems to be a magnet for trouble.
- The bottom floor is filled with merchant guards who seem quite hostile.
- Cliffhanger ending!
