Day 12
- The party destroyed the door to Ajar's house startling a number of merchant guards.
- The guards were forced to stand down and Sir Redler's Warrant was displayed.
- The guards didn't trust it's authenticity.
- Ajar himself came down the stairs in heavy armour.
- Ajar was shown the warrant.
- He ripped it in half and demanded we leave.
- Harold manage to convince Ajar to agree to a search.
- Harold and Ajar remained inside to do the search while the others waited outside.
- Nothing of note was found upstairs, in the entrance way or in the kitchen. Ajar and Harold then proceeded down into the cellar.
- Tharo decided to do his own investigation and surreptitiously gained access to the top floor via a window.
- Tharo found the remains of some papers that Ajar had burned in haste as we arrived.
- Meanwhile, in the cellar, Ajar was very protective of some old tomes that were definitely magical.
- The cellar backs onto the cellar on two sides, both conveniently stacked with crates, some new.
- Ajar seemed unwilling to agree to the crates being moved so the wall could be checked for entrances to the sewers.
- Ajar agreed to having one of his guards and another of the party in the house to assist with the moving of the crates.
- Tharo attempted to hide in the kitchen in order to avoid detection by the pair returning from the cellar.
- Epic Fail
- Ajar attempts to commit grievous bodily harm upon Tharo's person.
- The midden hits the windmill.
- Culain holds of the bulk of the guards while Harold and Tharo battle Ajar and two of his cronies.
- Ajar attempts to escape but Harold and Tharo give chase.
- Everyone starts calling for the guards.
- Cue Benny Hill Music.
- Ajar and his pursuers reach a group of city guards who are very confused.
- After much shouting, the guard sergeant agrees to take everyone back to the keep and sort it out there.
- Another group of city guards reached the house with one of the merchant guards who escaped.
- Culain is found about to kill one of the merchant guards and is set upon by the city guards.
- Culain is subjected to police brutality!
- Meanwhile, Faria is trying to warn the city guards of Culain's blood frenzy but is ignored.
- The merchant guard attempts to set Ajar's house on fire.
- The merchant guard is kerb-stomped by the city guard sergeant.
- Culain is knocked unconscious by the city guards and hauled off in chains to the keep.
- The fire is put out and everyone involved heads to the keep.
- Ajar is seen slipping something to one of the guards.
- Time for a courtroom showdown.
