  • The party are contacted by Ti'lor, the water mage, who is now able to assist us in getting rid of the water elemental.
  • We go to the circle and set about using the Blue Book of Elemental Summoning to summon the water elemental.
  • We get a fire elemental instead, someone has been messing with the book.
  • Via trial and error we manage to get a small water elemental who brings the larger one back to the chamber.
  • Lots of water, Harold is mildly perturbed.
  • We try to convince it to go rain on the Norwynn Army.
  • When it finds out we are enemies of Norwynn it tries to drown us.
  • We teleport out of there.

  • Now we know it's name and are able to summon it properly.
  • It cannot disobey it's previous master but we convince it to take us to it's master when it is summoned again.
  • If we kill the other master, it will obey our requests (ie. go home).

  • Water elemental summoned.
  • Elemental carries 3/4 of the party in it.
  • Harold chooses to walk.
  • Taken to house outside town.

  • Tal is interviewed in the Room Where No-one Asks About How Questions are Asked.
  • Tal is from Draccliff, contracted to provide magical services for Aslynn.
  • Tal is shocked Vergha is dead. Is this a ruse?
  • Tal implies Serren is somehow involved in her husband's death.
  • The water elemental was summoned from the vineyard.
  • Other elementals were summoned from Ajar's house.
  • Tal found out about the circle at Ajar's house from a mysterious man in the pub.

  • Party goes shopping in preparation for a trip up north.

Day 15

  • Set off for the north early in the morning.

Day 16

  • Reach Estergate Forest.
  • Inform the mayor of the invasion and tell him to get his people moving south.

Day 17

  • Meet up with a group of refugees and the town guards we took with us the first time.
  • Get a handful of locals to act as guides and trackers so we can track down the enemy.

Day 18

  • We locate the camp of a Norwynn patrol.
  • We attack them as they break camp with predictable results.
  • We find out where the army is and conceal ourselves in enemy uniforms.

  • Somehow we manage to get past the guards and into the enemy camp.
  • We report to Rodose, a Norwynn nobleman and one of the four nobles leading the army.
  • He's very excited that we 'came across some refugees and fought them'
  • From various clues, we deduct that the invasion is simply to annex the north of Ostvale and that after taking Ironhedge bridge, they will stop.

  • Tharo and Culain go to Aeslynn's tent.
  • It's Culain's son!
  • And his wife!
  • And she doesn't remember him!

  • Tharo and Faria go off to sabotage the baggage train.
  • Harold and Culain try to put Culain's psyche back together.
