Day 24 & 25
- With assistance from the militia, guards and civilian craftsmen, the new ditch is fortified.
- A 8' palisade wall is constructed from houses near the now absent length of wall.
- A 3' Firing step is constructed behind the wall.
- The ditch walls are hardened using magiks provided by Leris.
- Stakes are hammered into the bottom of the ditch to a height of 3'. The stakes are then sharpened.
- The ditch is filled with 4' of water.
- The guard is arranged into four groups and a reserve group.
- Each group garrisons a length of wall in three 7 squad shifts. (On Duty, At Rest, Reserve).
- The remaining nine groups wait at the casualty clearing station in the rough centre of the northern part of town.
- Tharo commands the defenders from Sparrow's tower to one third of the way along the palisade including Keeper's Gate.
- Culain commands the defenders on the rest of the pallisade to one tower past Lord's Gate.
- Harold commands the rest of the wall including Cornice and Wukorm Gate.
- Faria commands the clerics and healers at the casualty clearing station.
Day 26
- The main enemy army approaches and immediately launches a probing attack against the walls.
- This attack is defeated in short order.
- The rams are sabotaged and used to clog the access to the gates.
- The enemy put in another attack targeting the selected gates.
- The manage to damage Wukorm Gate but are repelled before they can destroy it.
- Minor repairs are done.
- The enemy put in another attack just after dark.
- They manage to damage Wukorm gate further as well as denting Keeper's Gate.
- The attacks are lent weight by Royal Guardsmen who prove to be more than a match for our heroes in single combat.
- The attacks are pushed back at some cost.
- The wreckage of the rams are used to construct barricades in front of the gates to make it difficult for the attackers.
- The damaged gates are shored up but Wukorm isn't looking good.
Day 27
- The enemy launch a concerted attack and succeed in breaking Wukorm Gate open.
- The initial assault through the broken gate is defeated but is reenforced by a Royal Guardsman who causes large losses amongst the guards.
- The last of the assaulting party is defeated but now there is a serious hole in the towns defences.
- Since the start of the battle, the town guard has seen nearly 25% losses but has a Kill:Loss Ratio of around 8:1.
- At this rate, we may be in a spot of bother.
