Day 27 (Continued)

• After the destruction of Wukorm Gate, the defence of the walls has become untenable.
• All of the wooden wreckage is piled into the gateway and readied to be set fire to.
• The guards fall back to the keep square and improve its fortifications.

• Culain and Faria realise that we may be able to summon an elemental to help us.
• With the assistance of Leris, a large earth elemental is summoned.

• The elemental acts oddly around Faria and eventually gives her a crown.

• The elemental digs a 10' deep pit behind Wukorm Gate and uses the excavated earth to make a compacted earth wall 5' high around the pit.
• The guards are called back to the walls as we are now able to defend them.
• The enemy mounts another attack and the heroes split up back to their positions.

• The guards are awesome, killing enemies left, right and centre taking minimal losses. The walls hold.

• Taskel (Culain's Son) is part of the group that attacks Lord's Gate.
• The two fight, neither wanting to hurt the other.
• Taskel knocks Culain out and makes off with his unconscious body.

• Dracclo leads the attack on Wukorm Gate.
• After much taunting back and forth, he challenges Harold.
• Harold sends in the Earth Elemental as his champion.
• After getting knocked around by the elemental, Dracclo retreats down a ladder.
• The elemental jumps after him and continues the beat-down.
• Dracclo eventually escapes after being badly injured.

• Culain wakes up in a tent with his wife and son.
• Awkwardness ensues.

• The remaining party regroups to see what they should do about Culain.
• A prisoner exchange is decided upon.
• We take Dradan out under a flag of truce.
• Taskel is unwilling to do the swap.
• We arrange a meeting with Culain under the guise of seeing if he's being treated well.

• Culain is okay.
• We convince Taskel that Culain is not safe in the camp due to the King hating him.

• Speak of the devil and he shall come.
• Both kings arrive outside the tent.
• Dracclo calls Harold out and issues a formal challenge for a duel.
• Harold accepts.
• The duel is to be done outside the city walls at dawn on the following day.
• The conditions: Sword + Shield, no Armour, one Second, two Aides.
• Harold chooses Culain as his second, Dracclo chooses Devello.
• Harold's aides will be Faria and Tharo, Dracclo has yet to choose his.

• The prisoner swap occurs without further mishap.

• Once back in the city the elemental looks oddly at Faria again.
• We decide it is time to complete Tobel's Sword.
• We fit the crown around the large gold disk and the elemental turns it into a ribbon.
• The ribbon is wrapped around the sword and consecrated by Faria.
• Finally, Faria hits the earth elemental with the sword and it implodes, its power being drawn into the sword.
• The sword glows with an almost blinding light and accepts Harold as its wielder.

• The ritual also improves everyone else's equipment.

• Everyone gets some sleep before the big day tomorrow.
• The guards use the break in hostilities to rest and improve on the fortifications around the keep square.
