Overview

First impressions of Valka are of an unforgettably beautiful woman in her early thirties with an athletic build yet retaining the right amount of softness and curves. Her every move and gesture is graceful, relaxed and has a confidence reminiscent of an apex predator. Her auburn hair is pulled back into an intricate braid which hangs down to her mid back save for that which she lets fall loose about her face and when battle looms Valka has been known to weave lengths of barbed cord into her braid. Her features are noble in appearance, her skin is light with only a slight tan despite much of her adult life being spent either at sea or outdoors and her eyes are a striking golden amber colour.

Valka is a product of her people's culture, a warrior through and through and will rarely be found unarmed or unarmoured. Her prized possessions are her reaper daiklave and her orichalcum plate. The reaper daiklave is unusual for its kind, rather than possessing a curved blade it instead has a straight blade similar to that of a daiklave and yet unlike a daiklave Valka's reaper has a blade only two inches wide and as a result still favours speed and accuracy over brute force. The plate, like all artefacts, has been crafted by a master and appears to have been forged with a woman of Valka's build in mind as it is perfectly fitted for her with no need of alteration despite being at least a thousand years old. The plate's every surface has been etched with detailed patterns and images, it has a high gorget which comes up to the jaw line and a helm with an armoured mask. In armour or not Valka wears a cloak of deep crimson and across her shoulders a mantle made from the pelt of an ice weasel.

When not in armour Valka wears good quality travelling clothes consisting of either warm and durable brown woollen breaches, white woollen shirt and a woollen coat or a finely embroidered woollen dress with a divided skirt suitable for riding.

Motivation

As a result of her vision upon exaltation Valka has been left with the belief that it is the destiny of the Solars to once again be the lords of creation in the name of the Unconquered Sun but that that rulership comes with the responsibility to protect and seek the betterment of those that they rule. To that end her goal is to unite the north, forge it into one realm and then one day expand that realm to encompass the entirety of creation and perhaps even expand the borders of creation and reclaim that which the Wyld took.
